Hi... I have quite a few interests. They include flying, cooking, computers, and politics. Depending upon the day and my mood, how I feel about the priority of any of my interests may change.

Politics

For instance, in the months just prior to the November elections, my thoughts about politics (specifically, American Politics) heated up.

My largest goal was to make sure that America was safe from Socialism :-) Of course, I say this with a little bit of a smile on my face. Even though I have some fairly strong views on current events, whether they should stay the same or whether they should change, no one should take them personally. They are my views and I do not expect (or require) you to either like or dislike them. For those with strong constitutions, here is my FAQ about my political views.

• Thomas Sowell - He has a column on Townhall.com. Here is one that I particularly like called "Random Thoughts".

• Walter Williams - An occasional fill-in for Rush Limbaugh, Walter Williams is a Professor Emeritus of Economics and Law at George Mason University. Here is one of my favorite articles on how there is "no free lunch".

• Ann Coulter - Some love her and others love to hate her. However, you can always count on her "biting prose" to hit the mark. She also has a column on Townhall.com.

• Neal Boortz - God, I love reading his daily "Neals Nuze"! Neal is a talk radio host in Atlanta GA. I have never heard his show, but sure would love to someday.

Cooking

I have really learned to love cooking. I started cooking when I was fairly young. You know, things like pancakes, cookies, pies, and cakes. All of the things that taste so good, but may not be good for you (especially in the quantities that I made).

It is probably no wonder that I enjoy baking. In the last couple of years, I have discovered that I also enjoy trying new recipes that include meats and sauces.

Computers

I have been working in the computer industry for the last 30+ years. I have worked in International Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Sales Support. I currently work for Packeteer

Flying

I really enjoy flying, especially helicopters. I started about 20 years ago with a single helicopter flying lesson. As they say, the rest was history. I spent about two years getting every certification possible: helicopters, single engine airplanes, multi engine airplanes, instrument rating, etc. It all culminated in my getting my flight instructors license for helicopters.

My favorite machines are still the MD model of helicopter. If you have never seen one, here are some pictures:
