this would be my choice. It's a great starting point for any
research.
- iTools- Provides quick access
to the best Internet tools. You can convert currency, do a reverse
telephone lookup, use a dictionary, get a quotation, etc.
- eHow- Do you
know how to change a tire or build a tree house? eHow gives you
step by step directions on how to do just about anything.
- Librarian's Index to the Internet-
The librarians at Berkeley maintain this site. Sign up for their
weekly updates.
- United
States Postal Service zip + 4 lookup- Make sure you use the
zip plus 4. The "4" can speed a letter along faster.
I've tested it and it really works.
- The
World Factbook-Fascinating facts about countries. You can
find how many airports have unpaved runways or how many radio
broadcast stations a country has.
- Documents
Center-Are you looking for a specific document? The University
of Michigan may have it.
- Yankee Magazine-Even
though I live in Arizona, I will always be a "Yankee".
- Newslink- Do you want to read
anewspaper from Germany or another state? Start here..
- Kim Komando- I use this
sight when Michael isn't home to answer my computer questions.
- Epicurious-Michael loves
this site. We like the "fork ratings" that may be given
to a recipe.
- Nestle's-Do you remember
the jingle-"n-e-s-t-l-e-s, nestle's makes the very best..chocolate?"
Well, it's true.
- Pillsbury- It's a great
place to get the bake off recipes, doughboy recipes, etc.
- Food Network-If you don't
get the food network, you're missing some great shows. Michael
and I love watching Good Eats (featuring Alton Brown).
- McCormick-I enjoy the
cook's reference section and spice encyclopedia. Lots of info
here!
- Emeril-
BAM! I don't think Emeril has an accent but Michael does.
- P. Allen Smith- Maybe some
of you have watched his reports on the weather channel.
- G.D. Thurman- My computer
teacher loves "Learning about Computing". What a superior
site!! Check out the GDT Stuff section.
