is internationally renowned for its natural beauty, its pleasant
desert winters and its varied recreational activities.
We've listed some information for family and friends
who would like to come and visit.
Your first stop will be Scottsdale,
"The West's Most Western Town." Enjoy a stroll along the
streets of Old Town Scottsdale. Our new house will be located in
the 3,200 acre McDowell
Mountain Ranch area. The McDowell Mountains are also home to
Frank Lloyd Wright's,
Taliesin West.
Visit some of our other famous towns and cities:
Paradise
Valley: Did you know that 69.1% of the population are college
graduates and 32.1% have graduate or professional degrees. The median
house value is $722,700. No little shacks here!
Fountain
Hills: It is home to one of the "World's Highest Fountains".
The stream of water is sent up 560 feet into the blue desert sky.
Phoenix:
There is always something to do and see at the Phoenix
Zoo. Boo! at the Zoo and Zoo Lights are two favorite yearly
events. The Desert Botanical Garden
is the zoo's neighbor.
Sedona:
It is famous for its red rock formations. Also, John Wayne filmed
"The Angel and the Badman" here. Who remembers that classic?
You then need to travel up to the Oak
Creek Canyon area. The changing leaves in Fall are so colorful
and beautiful.
Flagstaff
area: The historic Route
66 goes right through the city. It's a great starting point
to visit the Grand Canyon,
one of the modern wonders of the world; Barringer
Meteorite Crater, NASA's official training site for the Apollo
Astronauts; and the Petrified
Forest National Park, one of the world's largest and most colorful
concentrations of petrified wood.
Tombstone:
"The Town too Tough to Die". Visit the site of the famous
O.K. Corral gunfight.
